Leagues Cup: CF Monterrey vs Orlando City SC

About Market

MARKET SUMMARY

This market centers on the outcome of the Leagues Cup Phase One fixture between CF Monterrey and Orlando City SC, using the 90-minute result of this scheduled match as the defining reference point for determining the resolution. The fixture is a meaningful focal point because Leagues Cup Phase One results determine which Liga MX and Major League Soccer clubs advance out of the opening stage, placing direct competitive value on a single cross-league meeting between an established Mexican side and an Eastern Conference MLS club. Traders are assessing which outcome — a CF Monterrey win, an Orlando City SC win, or a level result at full time — is most likely, weighing head-to-head history, current form, squad availability, and the demands of a midweek cross-border fixture.

RULES
  1. Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: This market resolves YES if CF Monterrey record a higher score than Orlando City SC at the end of 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, and this match is completed before market close. It resolves NO if Orlando City SC record a higher score at the end of 90 minutes, or if both teams are level at the end of 90 minutes, under the same conditions. If the match is not completed before market close, it resolves to "Tie" with all positions settling at $0.50 per share. Extra time and penalty shootouts are not included — only the 90-minute regulation result applies.

  2. Definition of 90-Minute Result: The 90-minute result is the official score at the end of the second half of regulation play, including any injury time added by the match officials, as recorded in the official Leagues Cup match report. Any penalty shootout used by the competition to allocate Phase One points, and any goals scored in extra time, do not count toward this market's resolution. Own goals count toward the opposing team's score.

  3. Official Sources and Evidence: The primary source is the Highlightly.net API for match scores, status, and outcomes. Secondary reputable sources (e.g., leaguescup.com, MLSsoccer.com, ESPN, FlashScore) may be used for verification. Highlightly.net data takes precedence unless at least three secondary sources confirm it is incorrect.

  4. Eligible Resolution States: The market resolves when the game status on Highlightly.net is "Finished" or "Awarded," with a resolution buffer of no sooner than 3 hours after full time. If "Awarded," the officially awarded result determines the outcome.

  5. Handling Postponements and Cancellations: If the match is postponed but completed before market close, that result determines the outcome. If the match is abandoned, canceled, postponed beyond market close, or no official 90-minute result is recorded by market close, the market resolves to "Tie" with all positions settling at $0.50 per share. Partial scores from an abandoned match are ignored unless the match is officially resumed and completed.

  6. Ambiguities and Disputes: If conflicting information exists regarding the result or timing of this scheduled Leagues Cup fixture, Highlightly.net data takes precedence. In any remaining ambiguous case, the resolver will rely on the official Leagues Cup match report for this specific fixture to determine the outcome.
