Foresight Privacy Policy
Company: Foresight ("Company", "we", "us", or "our")
This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use our decentralized prediction market platform (the "Platform"). By connecting your wallet or using the Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
We may collect this data directly from you, automatically via your use of our Platform, or from third-party compliance, screening, or KYC/AML service providers.
1. Information We Collect
We intentionally minimize personal data collection. We may collect:
(a) Wallet Information: public blockchain addresses you connect to the Platform, blockchain transaction history
(b) Transaction Data: on-chain activity (e.g., markets joined, wagers placed, payouts received).
(c) Technical Data: IP address, device type, operating system, geolocation data, browser version, and usage logs (for security and analytics).
(d) Optional Contact Information: such as your social media contact if you subscribe to updates or contact support.
We do not collect sensitive personal identifiers (e.g., government IDs, payment card numbers) unless explicitly required by law.
To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and sanctions regimes, the Company may, in the future, collect and process additional certain personal information to determine whether you are located in, a resident of, incorporated in, or otherwise subject to the jurisdiction of any Sanctioned Country or Platform-Designated Restricted Jurisdiction, or whether you qualify as a Restricted Person as defined in our Terms & Conditions.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected data to:
(a) Enable wallet connectivity and platform functionality.
(b) Facilitate participation in prediction markets.
(c) Ensure platform integrity and security.
(d) Communicate with you (if you provide contact details).
(e) Monitor for fraud, abuse, and prohibited activities.
(f) Improve user experience and performance.
We may use automated tools to block access to the Platform or restrict account functionality (including placing accounts in "close-only" mode) if our systems detect that you are located in, a resident of, or otherwise subject to the jurisdiction of a Sanctioned Country or Restricted Jurisdiction, or if you otherwise qualify as a Restricted Person.
3. Blockchain Transparency
Transactions on the blockchain are public, permanent, and beyond our control. Any activity you perform (such as placing a prediction or claiming winnings) on our Platform may be visible to anyone via blockchain explorers.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent your information. We may share relevant information, with your consent, only:
With Service Providers: who support hosting, analytics, or security.
For Compliance: if required by applicable law, court order, or regulatory authority.
In Business Transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or restructuring.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We may use cookies, utilise similar technologies or third-party provider solutions for:
(a) Wallet session management.
(b) Site analytics and performance monitoring.
(c) Security (e.g., detecting suspicious logins).
You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, but some features may not work properly.
6. Prohibited Circumvention
You must not use VPNs, proxy services, or similar technologies to disguise your location or identity for the purpose of circumventing our sanctions screening. If we determine you have attempted to do so, we may suspend or terminate your access and retain relevant records for compliance purposes.
7. Data Retention
Blockchain data: permanently stored on-chain and not deletable by us. Off-chain data (e.g., logs, analytics, emails): retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law.
8. Security
We implement reasonable measures to protect off-chain data. However, we cannot guarantee absolute security, especially given the open nature of blockchain networks. You are responsible for safeguarding your wallet keys and access credentials.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
(a) Access, correct, or delete off-chain data we hold.
(b) Restrict or object to certain processing.
(c) Withdraw consent for optional communications.
(d) File a complaint with a data protection authority.
For blockchain data, we cannot alter or delete information recorded on a public ledger.
10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Acceptance of Use and Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
