WNBA: Minnesota Lynx vs Golden State Valkyries

About Market

MARKET SUMMARY

This market centers on which team emerges as the winner of the regular-season WNBA meeting between the Minnesota Lynx and the Golden State Valkyries at Chase Center in San Francisco. The fixture falls in the closing weeks of the 2026 regular season, when Western Conference seeding and home-court positioning for the playoffs are still being decided, making a single head-to-head result between two conference contenders a meaningful checkpoint for both franchises. Traders are assessing the likelihood of each side prevailing, weighing recent form, the season head-to-head series, injury availability, roster depth and home-court advantage as they price a matchup between two of the conference's strongest sides.

RULES

1. Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: Resolves MIN if the Minnesota Lynx are recorded as the winning team in the official final score, and GSV if the Golden State Valkyries are recorded as the winning team. A drawn result is not possible — overtime periods are played until a winner is determined. It resolves to Tie only if the game is cancelled outright with no make-up game played; in the event of a Tie resolution, all positions settle at $0.50 per share.

2. Definition of "Win": The winning team is the team with the higher points total in the official final score, inclusive of all overtime periods, as published in the official WNBA box score for the fixture scheduled 19 August 2026, 10:00 PM ET (20 August 2026, 02:00 UTC) at Chase Center. Quarter scores, halftime leads, and in-game states have no bearing. A forfeit or awarded result counts as a win for the team designated by the WNBA.

3. Official Sources and Evidence: Primary source is the official WNBA scores page (https://www.wnba.com/scores) and the accompanying official box score. ESPN and Basketball-Reference may be used for corroboration only and never override the primary source.

4. Resolution Timing: The game status is checked from the scheduled tip-off onward, and resolution proceeds once the game is listed as "Final" or "Final/OT" on the primary source. The market resolves no sooner than 3 hours after the official final score is posted on wnba.com/scores.

5. Handling Postponements and Cancellations: If the game is postponed or suspended, the market remains open until the game has been completed, and resolves on the final score of the completed game. If the game is cancelled entirely with no make-up game, the market resolves Tie at $0.50 per share. Partial scores from an abandoned game are disregarded unless the game is officially resumed and completed.

6. Ambiguities and Disputes: Where sources conflict, the official WNBA box score is decisive. Score corrections officially issued by the WNBA before resolution are applied; protests, reviews, or statistical corrections raised after the market has resolved do not reverse the resolution unless the WNBA officially overturns the result before the resolution timestamp in Rule 4.
