What will Gold (XAUUSD) hit in October 2026?

About Market

Market Summary

This market centers on which notable price levels Gold (XAUUSD) will reach over the course of October 2026, framing the month as a set of upside and downside milestones against which the metal's trajectory is measured. Gold's round-number thresholds function as widely tracked psychological and technical markers, and a decisive move through any of them is commonly read as a signal of shifting macro conditions, real-yield expectations, and safe-haven demand during a period of heightened attention on the metal. Traders are weighing volatility, central-bank activity, dollar strength, and prevailing momentum to assess which of these levels gold is most likely to touch, and whether the strongest upside or downside targets are reached at all before the month is out.

Rules
  1. 1. Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: This market resolves YES if, at any point after market creation and during a trading session of October 2026, any Pyth 1-minute candle for Gold (XAUUSD) has a final "High" price equal to or above $4,400.00. It resolves NO otherwise, including if Gold (XAUUSD) does not trade at all during the listed time frame.

    2. Definition of "Hit" and Threshold: "Hit" means the final "High" of at least one Pyth 1-minute candle for Gold (XAUUSD) is greater than or equal to $4,400.00. Prices are used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. A single qualifying candle is sufficient; the price need not close at or hold the level. Only prices achieved during an applicable trading session of October 2026 business days count. The trading session for a given business day typically begins at 6:00 PM ET on the prior calendar date. Under the standard schedule, trading is open from 6:00:00 PM ET Sunday through 5:00:00 PM ET Friday, with a daily break from 5:00:00 PM ET to 6:00:00 PM ET, except where modified by holiday or special-session hours.

    3. Official Sources and Evidence: The resolution source is Pyth, specifically the Gold (XAUUSD) "High" and "Low" prices at https://pythdata.app/explore/Metal.XAU%2FUSD with the chart set to 1-minute candles. Historical 1-minute candles may be accessed by appending a Unix timestamp (seconds) to the Pyth chart URL using the "t=" parameter. The fallback source, used only as described in Rule 5, is the official daily high published for the relevant CME COMEX Gold Futures (GC) contract.

    4. Resolution Timing: A YES outcome resolves as soon as a qualifying candle is confirmed on Pyth. If no qualifying candle occurs, the market resolves NO no sooner than 24 hours after the close of the final October 2026 trading session.

    5. Data Outages, Revisions, and Structural Changes: Only final candle values as published by Pyth are used. If the relevant Pyth data is unavailable due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption that prevents verification of the required 1-minute candle data, the official daily high for the relevant CME COMEX Gold Futures (GC) contract may be used to determine whether $4,400.00 was reached during the applicable trading session. If a contract specification change, feed change, or similar structural modification affects the market during the listed time frame, the market resolves on adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth.

    6. Ambiguities and Disputes: Pyth takes precedence over all other sources. The CME COMEX GC fallback is used only when the Pyth data cannot be verified as described in Rule 5. No other price sources are used for resolution.
