What will Malayan Banking Bhd (MAYBANK) hit in September 2026?

About Market

Market Summary

This market centers on which price levels Malayan Banking Berhad (MAYBANK) will touch on Bursa Malaysia during the remaining trading sessions of September 2026, measuring the stock against a ladder of thresholds set both above and below its prevailing range. The close of September serves as a meaningful checkpoint for Malaysia's largest listed company and the heaviest single weight in the FBM KLCI, capping a month shaped by the group's second-quarter results and interim dividend, Bank Negara Malaysia's policy stance, domestic loan growth and asset quality trends, and foreign fund flows through the local market. Traders are assessing the likelihood and timing of an intraday high or low reaching each threshold, turning the eligible sessions that remain in the month into a set of clearly defined, order-based outcomes.

Rules

1. Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: This market resolves to "YES" if, at any point from 00:00 UTC 8 September 2026 through the close of the final eligible trading session, the intraday "High" price of MAYBANK (Bursa Malaysia stock code 1155) is recorded at or above RM10.80. It resolves to "NO" if no qualifying High is recorded within that window. There is no TIE outcome in this market.

2. Definition of a Qualifying Touch: A "qualifying touch" is the "High" value published for any eligible trading day, taken exactly as displayed by the specified source, without rounding. A single print is sufficient — no closing price, sustained move, or minimum volume is required — and daily closing prices, volume-weighted averages, bid/ask quotes, midpoints, and indicative prices are not used to determine whether the threshold was reached. A value of exactly RM10.80 qualifies.

3. Eligible Trading Sessions: Only prices printed during a regular Bursa Malaysia Securities trading session count. Under the standard schedule, the morning session runs 09:00–12:30 MYT 01:00–04:30 UTC) and the afternoon session 14:30–17:00 MYT 06:30–09:00 UTC), except where modified by holiday or special-session hours published by Bursa Malaysia. Eligible sessions are those for business days 8 September 2026 through 30 September 2026; pre-opening indicative prices, theoretical opening and closing prices, off-market direct business transactions, and married deals do not qualify.

4. Corporate Actions and Price Adjustments: Thresholds are stated in ringgit as quoted on the specified source and are not adjusted for ordinary cash dividends. Where an ex-dividend date falls within the window, the traded price drops mechanically by approximately the dividend amount and that lower price is used as displayed, with no add-back. Where a share split, consolidation, bonus issue, or rights issue takes effect within the window, resolution uses the adjusted prices as displayed by the specified source from the ex-date onward; if the counter is suspended, delisted, or otherwise ceases to trade, only prices printed while it was trading are considered.

5. Official Sources and Evidence: The authoritative source for resolution is the MAYBANK price data published by KLSE Screener at https://www.klsescreener.com/v2/stocks/view/1155, specifically the daily "High" and "Low" figures for stock code 1155. If that data is unavailable due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official daily high and low prices published by Bursa Malaysia Securities for stock code 1155 may be used to determine whether the listed price was reached during the applicable session. Other data providers may be used for temporary reference only and cannot override those records.

6. Resolution Timing: The specified source is checked after each eligible trading session and the market resolves immediately once a qualifying High at or above RM10.80 is published. If no qualifying price is recorded, the market resolves to "NO" as soon as reasonably practical after 23:59 UTC 30 September 2026.

7. Ambiguities and Disputes: If any ambiguity arises regarding a daily High or Low, a session boundary, or publication timing, the figures published by KLSE Screener for stock code 1155 take precedence, with Bursa Malaysia Securities' official records and trading calendar applying only where that data is unavailable. If neither record is published within 48 hours of the close of the final eligible session, the outcome is determined from the most complete official Bursa Malaysia Securities record then available.
