About Market

MARKET SUMMARY

This market centers on the all-Ukrainian quarterfinal clash between Elina Svitolina and Marta Kostyuk at the 2026 Roland Garros WTA tournament, with the winner advancing to the semifinals of one of tennis's four Grand Slam events. This marks the first all-Ukrainian quarterfinal at a Grand Slam, pitting two compatriots against each other at one of clay court tennis's most prestigious stages. RULES
  1. Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: This market resolves to "Svitolina" if Svitolina advances past Kostyuk, and to "Kostyuk" if Kostyuk advances past Svitolina. No draw outcome is possible in professional tennis match play.

  2. Definition of "Advances": A player is considered to have advanced when they are recorded as the official match winner by the WTA Tour and Roland Garros tournament authorities, regardless of the number of sets played. If the match begins but is not completed due to one player's retirement, default, or disqualification, the market resolves in favor of the player who officially advances per tournament records.

  3. Official Sources and Evidence: The primary resolution source is the official WTA Tour (https://www.wtatennis.com/) and Roland Garros official tournament records (rolandgarros.com). A consensus of credible sports reporting — including ESPN, BBC Sport, and FlashScore — may be used for corroboration where primary sources are unavailable or delayed.

  4. Resolution Timing: The market resolves no sooner than 5 hours after the official match result is posted on the WTA Tour website.

  5. Handling Postponements, Cancellations, and Walkovers: If the match is canceled (not played at all), or delayed beyond 1 day from the scheduled start without a winner being determined, the market resolves to Tie, settling at $0.50 per share. If a player withdraws before the match begins and the other player advances via walkover, the market also resolves to Tie at $0.50 per share. Rain delays and within-tournament rescheduling extend the resolution deadline in line with the official tournament schedule, up to the 1-day limit.

  6. Ambiguities and Disputes: In the event of conflicting or ambiguous evidence, the official WTA Tour and Roland Garros tournament records take precedence over all other sources. Credible sports reporting is used only for corroboration where the primary source is unavailable. Administrative reviews, appeals, or protests do not delay resolution unless the WTA Tour officially overturns the on-court result.
