About Market

MARKET SUMMARY

This market forecasts the 24-hour price change in ETH/USDT from 00:00 UTC on May 20th, 2026, to 00:00 UTC on May 21st, 2026. This captures short-term momentum in the crypto market based on official Binance data.

RULES
  1. Trading closes at 23:00 UTC. Market resolves using the 00:00 UTC candle once it completes.
  2. The market resolves to "Up" if the closing price of the Binance 1-minute ETH/USDT candle ending at 00:00 UTC on May 21st, 2026, is strictly greater than the closing price of the 1-minute candle ending at 00:00 UTC on May 20th, 2026.
  3. The market resolves to "Down" if the closing price on May 21 is strictly less than the closing price on May 20.
  4. If the closing prices are exactly equal, the market resolves 50-50.
  5. Prices are sourced from the Binance chart for ETH/USDT (available at binance.com/en/trade/ETH_USDT) in UTC timezone, using the close of the respective 1-minute candles.
  6. Fallback source if Binance data is incomplete or unavailable: CoinGecko historical data for Ethereum vs. USDT (coingecko.com/en/coins/ethereum/historical_data?vs_currency=usdt), using the end-of-day price snapshot for May 19th, 2026 (as proxy for 00:00 UTC on May 20) and May 20th, 2026 (as proxy for 00:00 UTC on May 21), since CoinGecko snapshots are taken at UTC midnight.
  7. If APIs or charts return partial or incomplete data (e.g., an incomplete candlestick), use the last available closing price before the specified timestamp.
  8. If there is a discrepancy greater than 0.1% between Binance and CoinGecko data, resolve the outcome by averaging the closing prices from both sources.
  9. Intraday prices and trading halts are ignored; only the specified closing prices count.
  10. Resolution will occur no later than 12:00 UTC on May 21st, 2026, once data for May 21st, 2026, is available and verified.
