EWC LoL: Hanwha Life Esports vs T1

About Market

MARKET SUMMARY

This market centers on which team will emerge victorious in the best-of-three quarterfinal between Hanwha Life Esports and T1 at the Esports World Cup 2026 League of Legends playoffs, a single-elimination bracket contested in Paris after the event's relocation from Riyadh. The quarterfinal stage carries elimination stakes at one of the year's largest cross-title competitions, and this pairing renews one of the LCK's defining modern rivalries, where both organizations arrive with championship pedigree and no margin for a slow start in a shortened series. Traders are assessing Hanwha Life's roster form against T1's international tournament record, weighing draft flexibility, side selection, and head-to-head tendencies to forecast which Korean side advances to the semifinals.

RULES
  1. Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: This market resolves to "HLE" if Hanwha Life Esports is officially recorded as the winner of this best-of-three series. It resolves to "T1" if T1 is officially recorded as the winner. It resolves to "Tie" if the match is cancelled, ends without an officially declared winner, or is delayed beyond 72 hours from the originally scheduled start time without a winner determined; in the event of a Tie resolution, all positions settle at $0.50 per share.
  2. Definition of Official Winner: "Officially recorded as the winner" means the team confirmed as the winner of the best-of-three series in the official Esports World Cup 2026 League of Legends match record as published on lolesports.com and the official tournament broadcast, determined through completion of all required games per official tournament rules.
  3. Official Sources and Evidence: The primary source for resolution is the official league match record published on lolesports.com and the official Esports World Cup broadcast. If a finalized result is not published within 2 hours of the series' conclusion, a consensus of credible secondary sources — including Liquipedia League of Legends, gol.gg, and verified official team social media accounts — may be used for corroboration but cannot override a clear or later-dated primary source publication.
  4. Handling Forfeits, Walkovers, and Special Match Outcomes: If the match begins but is not completed, and one team is declared the winner due to the opponent's forfeit, disqualification, or walkover under official tournament rules, the market resolves to that winning team. If a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover occurs before the match starts — such that one team withdraws prior to the first game and the other is awarded a win without play — the market resolves to "Tie." If a forfeit or default result is under official dispute by the league at the time of resolution, the market resolves to "Tie."
  5. Handling Postponements and Cancellations: If the match is postponed or rescheduled, this market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. Technical pauses and within-day remakes follow the official league ruling and do not constitute a postponement; multi-day remakes are treated as postponements. If the match is not completed, is cancelled, or no official winner is declared within 72 hours of the originally scheduled start time of July 17, 2026, 11:00 UTC, the market resolves to "Tie."
  6. Resolution Timing: The market resolves no sooner than 6 hours after the official result is posted on lolesports.com following the conclusion of the series. Resolution is processed as soon as reasonably practical after that minimum window has elapsed and the result is confirmed.
  7. Ambiguities and Disputes: If conflicting information exists regarding the result of this series, the most recent official publication on lolesports.com takes precedence. Technical pauses, within-day server issues, or game remakes are handled per official Esports World Cup 2026 tournament rules. In cases where a team's listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source — including recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences — this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, the market resolves to "Tie."
