OpenAI browser by Nov 30?

About Market

Market Summary

Bet on whether OpenAI will publicly launch a standalone AI-powered web browser by November 30, 2025. The browser must be made available to the general public (via open beta, free waitlist, or official release). Only a true standalone browser (not merely a plugin or extension) qualifies. The market resolves based on official OpenAI announcements or credible confirmation from top-tier tech sources.

Rules
  1. Eligible Release: Only a standalone web browser counts. Plugins, browser extensions, integrations inside existing browsers, or private internal betas do not qualify.
  2. Public Availability: The browser must be offered publicly (e.g. open beta, waitlist open to general users, or full release) in at least one country by November 30, 2025 (UTC).
  3. Announcement Requirement: There must be an official announcement from OpenAI or confirmation via its official channels (website, blog, press release). If ambiguous, a consensus among highly reliable tech outlets may be used (but always secondary to OpenAI).
  4. Resolution Timing: If the browser is confirmed and publicly released by Nov 30, 2025 it resolves to YES. If OpenAI or credible sources confirm that the browser will not be launched by that date it resolves to NO. If by Nov 30, 2025 there is no official confirmation either way it resolve to NO.
  5. Primary Source Priority: OpenAI’s own site, blog, press releases, or official communications have the highest reliability.
  6. Secondary Sources: Trusted tech publications such as Reuters, TechCrunch, The Verge, etc. may be used for verification.
  7. Ambiguities: If there’s ambiguity in whether it counts as a “browser” or whether access is sufficiently “public,” platform operators will adjudicate, with preference to primary sources.
