UEFA Europa League Final: Will Aston Villa defeat Freiburg by 2+ goals? (May 20, 2026)

About Market

MARKET SUMMARY

This market centers on whether Aston Villa will defeat SC Freiburg by a margin of two or more goals in the 2026 UEFA Europa League Final, using the official full-time result as the defining reference point. A two-goal winning margin represents a meaningful performance threshold in a high-stakes knockout final, distinguishing a commanding victory from a narrow or contested win in one of European football's premier club competitions. Traders are assessing each side's attacking output, defensive resilience, and tactical matchup to determine whether Aston Villa can secure not just victory but a sufficiently decisive result to clear the specified goal margin.

RULES
  1. Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: This market resolves to "Yes" if Aston Villa's official final score exceeds SC Freiburg's by 2 or more goals at the conclusion of the match. It resolves to "No" if the match ends in a draw, an Aston Villa win by exactly 1 goal, or a Freiburg win by any margin. It resolves to "Tie" if the match is postponed, abandoned, or cancelled without an officially declared result; in the event of a Tie resolution, all positions settle at $0.50 per share.

  2. Definition of Qualifying Margin: The goal margin is determined by the official scoreline at the end of the match, including any extra time played. Goals scored in a penalty shootout do not count toward the margin. An Aston Villa victory by exactly 1 goal after extra time resolves "No." Own goals count toward the team against which they are scored.

  3. Official Sources and Evidence: The primary source for resolution is the Highlightly.net API (https://highlightly.net/). Secondary sources including ESPN, BBC Sport, and the official UEFA website (uefa.com) may be used for corroboration only and cannot override the primary source.

  4. Eligible Resolution States: The market resolves only when the match status shows "Finished," "Finished after extra time," "Finished after penalties," or "Awarded." In all eligible states, the official scoreline at the end of play (excluding penalties) determines the goal margin.

  5. Handling Postponements and Cancellations: If the match is postponed but completed and an official result is confirmed within 12 hours of the originally scheduled kick-off, that result determines the outcome. If the match is not completed, is cancelled, or no official result is confirmed within that window, the market resolves to "Tie."

  6. Ambiguities and Disputes: If conflicting information exists regarding the match result or scoreline, the Highlightly.net API takes precedence. In any remaining ambiguous case, the official UEFA match records determine the outcome.
