About Market

Market Summary

This prediction market resolves the outcome of the football match between West Ham and Tottenham. The market has three possible outcomes: 'West Ham' if West Ham wins with a higher score, 'Tottenham' if Tottenham wins with a higher score, or 'Draw' if the scores are equal or no decisive winner is determined under these rules. The outcome includes goals scored during regular time, extra time, and penalty shootouts if applicable. Highlightly.net is the primary source for match data, with secondary reputable sources consulted only if needed as described in the rules.

Rules
  1. Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: The market resolves to 'West Ham' if West Ham is declared the winner with a higher score at full conclusion. It resolves to 'Tottenham' if Tottenham is declared the winner with a higher score. If the scores are equal or no decisive winner is determined under these rules, the market resolves as 'Draw', with all positions valued at $0.50 per share. Goals scored in regular time, extra time, and penalty shootouts all count.
  2. Data Sources: The Highlightly.net API is the primary source for determining match scores, status, and outcomes. Secondary reputable sources such as ESPN, BBC Sport, official league websites, Soccerway, and FlashScore may be used for verification. Highlightly.net prevails unless demonstrably incorrect, confirmed by at least three secondary sources.
  3. Eligible Resolution States: The market resolves when Highlightly.net reports the match status as 'Finished', 'Finished after penalties', 'Finished after extra time', or 'Awarded'. If 'Awarded', the market resolves to the awarded winner, or to 'Draw' if no explicit winner is provided.
  4. Handling of Incomplete or Delayed Matches: If the match status is 'Postponed', 'Suspended', 'Cancelled', 'Interrupted', or 'Abandoned', the market pauses. If the match does not resume and complete within 30 days, the market resolves to 'Draw'. If the match resumes and completes, resolution follows Rule 1.
  5. Post-Waiting Period Resolution: If 12 hours have passed after the scheduled end time and no eligible resolution state is reached, the market resolves to 'Draw'. Secondary sources may be checked during this period, but if uncertainty remains, 'Draw' applies.
  6. Discrepancies and Disputes: In cases where data sources conflict, Highlightly.net takes precedence. Disputes must be raised within 24 hours of resolution and supported by evidence from secondary sources. Decisions are final and explained transparently.
  7. Resolution in Edge Cases: If the market cannot resolve reliably to 'West Ham' or 'Tottenham' due to technical issues or lack of data, it resolves to 'Draw'.
  8. General Provisions: Standard football rules apply, including own goals being credited to the opposing team’s score. Partial scores from abandoned matches are ignored unless the match is resumed and completed. All times are in UTC unless otherwise specified. Market rules are fixed once created.
