About Market

Market Summary

This market predicts which platform will have the largest share of China’s food delivery market in Q4 2025. Outcomes are based on official financial reports and investor relations disclosures from Meituan, Alibaba Group (Ele.me), and JD.com. Secondary sources such as SCMP, Morningstar, Reuters, and other reputable market research firms may be used for verification or clarification if official data is delayed or ambiguous. Quarterly checks may be conducted using interim reports or Q4-specific disclosures; however, final resolution will rely on the first official report containing full Q4 2025 data, with the market closing no later than May 31, 2026.

Rules
  1. Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: The market resolves to YES if Alibaba’s Ele.me holds the largest share of China’s food delivery market in Q4 2025, based on official financial or operational data. It resolves to NO if Ele.me does not hold the largest share.
  2. Measurement Basis: The applicable metric is total gross transaction value (GTV) or total number of food delivery orders for Q4 2025, as disclosed in Alibaba’s official filings. Only data covering the last quarter of 2025 is valid for resolution, even if published after that period.
  3. Eligible Resolution Timing: The market may resolve early if Alibaba publishes verified Q4 2025 results confirming Ele.me’s leading position before the annual report. Final resolution occurs using the first official release that includes Q4 2025 data, no later than May 31, 2026.
  4. Data Sources:
Primary: Alibaba Investor Relations (https://www.alibabagroup.com/en/ir/home).\ Secondary (verification only): SCMP, Morningstar, Reuters, and other reputable market research firms or financial analytics providers publishing independently verified estimates of Q4 2025 GTV or delivery volume.
  5. Resolution in Edge Cases: If multiple official or verified figures are released, the earliest figure confirming Ele.me’s leading position for Q4 2025 determines resolution. Minor discrepancies are resolved in favor of Alibaba’s official disclosures.
  6. Discrepancies: Conflicting reports are resolved using Alibaba’s official IR data. Secondary or third-party research data may be used only to confirm clarity or fill temporary gaps if primary data is delayed or ambiguous.
