Will 3 or more goals be scored during Cape Verde vs Saudi Arabia match?

About Market

Market Summary

This market centers on the 2026 FIFA World Cup group-stage fixture between Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia, with attention focused on whether the two teams combine to score three or more goals across the full ninety minutes of play. The pairing is a notable focal point because it sets a quick, counter-attacking African side that thrives in transition against a technical, possession-minded Saudi team that builds patiently and looks to control tempo, a contrast in style that shapes expectations for how open and high-scoring the encounter becomes. Traders are assessing the likelihood that the match produces a steady flow of goals rather than a cautious, low-scoring affair, weighing both teams' attacking intent against their defensive organisation and the typical scoring patterns of World Cup group-stage encounters.

Rules
  1. Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: The market resolves YES if three or more goals are scored in total by both teams combined — that is, the combined goal tally is 3 or greater. It resolves NO if fewer than three goals are scored in total (a combined tally of 0, 1, or 2). There is no Tie outcome for the result itself; a Tie applies only under the postponement and cancellation conditions in Rule 5.

  2. Definition of "3 or More Goals Scored": The total is the sum of all goals — including own goals — credited to either Cape Verde or Saudi Arabia in the official match record over regulation time, defined as the 90 minutes of normal play plus any referee-added stoppage time in both halves, ending the moment the referee signals full-time. An own goal counts toward the team it is officially awarded to (the beneficiary team) and is included in the combined total regardless of which team it benefits. The market resolves YES only if that combined total reaches 3 or more. As this is a group-stage fixture, no extra time or penalty shootout is played; only goals scored within regulation time count toward this market.

  3. Official Sources and Evidence: Primary source: Sportmonks API (https://www.sportmonks.com/) for the official full-time result and goalscorer data. Secondary sources for corroboration: ESPN, BBC Sport, Soccerway, FlashScore, and the official FIFA website (fifa.com). The official FIFA match report is the definitive record in the event of any discrepancy.

  4. Resolution Timing: The market resolves the moment the official full-time result is confirmed on Sportmonks, with no additional waiting buffer. Trading may already be closed or paused under Rule 7; all open positions are locked through to resolution.

  5. Handling Postponements and Cancellations: If the match is postponed, suspended, cancelled, or abandoned before full-time, the market remains open during a 12-hour waiting period to allow the fixture to be completed. If no eligible completed full-time result exists more than 12 hours past the scheduled kickoff, the market resolves to Tie, and all positions settle at $0.50 per share. Partial scores from an abandoned match are ignored unless the fixture is officially resumed and completed within the waiting window, in which case the final regulation-time result is used.

  6. Ambiguities and Disputes: In the event of conflicting scoreline reports between sources, the official FIFA match report takes precedence. If the primary source (Sportmonks) is unavailable at resolution time, a consensus of at least two secondary sources is used. Any result under active official protest or review remains unresolved until FIFA issues a final ruling.

  7. Trading Window and Pause: Trading remains open throughout the match, from kickoff until the referee signals full-time. Because the combined goal total can only rise, the YES outcome (three or more goals) becomes irreversibly determined the moment the third goal of the match is scored; at that instant trading is paused immediately and all open positions are locked through to resolution. The NO outcome (fewer than three goals) cannot be locked before full-time, since a further goal always remains possible until the final whistle. Trading therefore continues to full-time and then locks pending resolution.
