Will BTC hit $58,000 or $68,000 first by end of July?

About Market

MARKET SUMMARY

This market centers on which of two Bitcoin price milestones — a move up to $68,000 or a slide down to $58,000 — the cryptocurrency reaches first before the end of July 2026, framing recent trading as a directional race between an upside and a downside threshold. These round-number levels sit on opposite sides of Bitcoin's prevailing range and function as widely tracked psychological and technical markers, where a decisive break in either direction is commonly read as a signal of the asset's near-term momentum and broader market sentiment. Traders are weighing volatility, macro conditions, liquidity, and order-flow trends to assess which boundary is more likely to be touched first, and whether either is reached at all within the month.

RULES
  1. Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: Resolves $68,000 if BTC/USD reaches or exceeds $68,000 (the upside threshold) before it reaches or falls to $58000 (the downside threshold). It resolves $58,000 if BTC/USD reaches or falls below $58,000 before it reaches or exceeds $68,000. It resolves to Tie if neither threshold is touched on or before the deadline.

  2. Definition of "Hit" and Thresholds: A threshold is "hit" the first moment the BTC/USD spot price recorded by the primary source is ≥ $68,000 (upside) or ≤ $58,000 (downside) at any point within the observation window. The observation window runs until 31 July 2026 23:59:59 UTC. Prices are assessed on continuous spot quotes, not daily closes, because the market concerns which level is touched first.

  3. Official Sources and Evidence: The primary source is the CoinGecko BTC/USD spot price (coingecko.com). Secondary sources, used for corroboration only, are CoinMarketCap, Binance spot, and Kraken spot. A threshold touch must be observable on the primary source; if the primary source is unavailable, secondary-source consensus (at least two of the three agreeing) applies.

  4. Resolution Timing: The price is monitored continuously through the deadline. The market resolves to YES or NO as soon as the first qualifying threshold touch is confirmed on the primary source (deadline offset: 0 hours). If neither threshold is touched by 31 July 2026 23:59:59 UTC, the Tie resolution is confirmed no sooner than 24 hours after the deadline (the waiting period).

  5. Handling Edge Cases and Ties: If both thresholds are recorded within the same one-minute interval such that ordering cannot be determined from spot quotes, the sequence is resolved using the finest-granularity trade data available from the primary source, then Binance spot. It resolves to Tie if, and only if, neither threshold is touched by the deadline; in the event of a Tie resolution, all positions settle at $0.50 per share. An extraordinary manipulation event or a stablecoin de-peg may trigger Tie at the organizer's discretion.

  6. Ambiguities and Disputes: If the primary and secondary sources disagree on whether or when a threshold was touched, the CoinGecko record prevails, corroborated by at least one of Binance or Kraken spot. Wick or flash prints not corroborated by at least one secondary venue within one minute are disregarded. Under the config's void conditions — the primary source unavailable for 24 hours after the deadline, or an irreconcilable source conflict — the resolution is Tie rather than settled.
