Will BTC Hit $65,000 or $72,000 First by Feb 28?
About Market
This market centers on which price level Bitcoin will reach first $65,000 or $72,000 framing a directional race between two key thresholds. The question reflects expectations around short-term volatility and momentum in the crypto market, where Bitcoin’s price is influenced by macroeconomic conditions, investor risk appetite, regulatory developments, and capital flows into digital assets. Traders are assessing whether downside pressure will push BTC to the lower level first, or whether bullish momentum will drive price appreciation toward the higher threshold, turning near-term market movement into a clear, order-based outcome.
- Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: This market applies to price action occurring from 00:00 UTC February 19, 2026 onward. It resolves to “YES” if the high price of any completed 1-minute BTC/USDT candle on Binance is equal to or greater than $65,000.00 before any 1-minute candle high reaches $72,000.00, and on or before 00:00 UTC February 28, 2026. It resolves to “NO” if $72,000.00 is reached first, or if neither level is reached within this period. There is no TIE outcome in this market.
- Price Metric and Pair Definition: “BTC” refers to the BTC/USDT trading pair on Binance. A level is considered “hit” only if the official high price of a completed 1-minute candle for BTC/USDT is equal to or exceeds the specified threshold. Only candles with timestamps at or after 00:00 UTC February 19, 2026 are eligible for consideration.
- First-Touch Determination: Ordering is determined by the earliest qualifying 1-minute candle timestamp in UTC, beginning from 00:00 UTC February 19, 2026. The timestamp assigned to the candle by Binance (in UTC) is definitive for determining which level was reached first.
- Simultaneous Threshold Edge Case: If both $65,000.00 and $72,000.00 are first reached within the same 1-minute candle (i.e., the same candle high is equal to or above both thresholds), the market resolves to the level whose threshold price is numerically closest to the candle’s opening price. Under no circumstances will the market resolve as a tie.
- Authoritative Source and Data Integrity: Resolution is based on Binance’s official historical 1-minute candlestick data for BTC/USDT. Third-party aggregators may be used only for corroboration and may not override Binance’s official data.
- Data Revisions and Anomalies: The market resolves based on the candle data as first publicly available from Binance. Obvious exchange errors or demonstrably erroneous prints may be disregarded if Binance formally corrects or invalidates the data before resolution.
- Resolution Timing: The market resolves as soon as reasonably practical after a qualifying 1-minute candle (occurring at or after 00:00 UTC February 19, 2026) establishes that $65,000.00 was reached first, or after 00:00 UTC February 28, 2026 if neither threshold is reached within the defined period.
