Will BTC hit $65,000 or $75,000 first by end of February?
About Market
This market centers on whether Bitcoin will reach $65,000 or $75,000 first, framing a race between two key price thresholds. The question reflects expectations around near-term volatility and market direction, as Bitcoin’s price is influenced by factors such as macroeconomic conditions, investor risk appetite, regulatory developments, and flows into crypto-related investment products. Traders are weighing whether downside pressure or bullish momentum is more likely to dominate, determining which of these two price levels
- Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria:
This market resolves to “YES” if the price of Bitcoin (BTC) reaches $65,000 before it reaches $75,000 at any time on or before 23:59:59 UTC on February 28, 2026. It resolves to “NO” if the price of Bitcoin reaches $75,000 before $65,000 within the same period, or if neither price level is reached by the cutoff. There is no TIE outcome in this market; it resolves only to YES or NO. - Definition of “Reaches” and Applicable Price:
For the purposes of this market, Bitcoin is considered to have “reached” $65,000 if the closing price of an eligible price candle is equal to or greater than $65,000. Intraday highs, wicks, or momentary trades that are not reflected in a qualifying closing price do not count. - Price Source and Time Standard:
The primary price source is the BTC/USDT market on Binance, using prices expressed in UTC time. The relevant price is the close of the earliest 1-minute candle that first satisfies the $65,000 condition. - Fallback Sources and Incomplete Data:
If Binance data is unavailable or incomplete at the relevant time, a reputable secondary source (such as CoinGecko) may be used to corroborate the order in which the price levels were first reached. If a candlestick is incomplete, the last fully completed closing price before the timestamp is used. - Resolution Timing:
The market may resolve immediately once it is clear that $65,000 has been reached before $75,000 within the eligible window. If this does not occur, final resolution to “NO” will happen as soon as reasonably practical after 23:59:59 UTC on February 28, 2026. - Ambiguities and Disputes:
In cases of conflicting timestamps or data discrepancies, priority is given to Binance’s published candle data, followed by corroboration from secondary sources. If ambiguity remains, resolution is determined based on what a reasonable, well-informed observer would conclude from the available price data.
