Will Crude Oil (CL) hit $100 by end of April 15?

About Market

Market Summary

This market centers on whether the price of WTI Crude Oil futures will reach a specified threshold before the conclusion of a defined mid-April cutoff, using that price level as the defining reference event. The approach to April 15 serves as a temporal milestone, marking the end of the observation window during which price movements are evaluated against the defined level. Traders are assessing whether market dynamics, including supply conditions, geopolitical factors, and demand expectations, will drive crude oil prices to meet or exceed the specified threshold relative to that cutoff, determining whether the milestone is reached within the defined timeframe.

Rules
  1. Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: This market resolves to “YES” if the official CME settlement price of the Active Month WTI Crude Oil (CL) futures contract is equal to or greater than $100 USD on any trading day on or before 23:59 UTC April 15, 2026. It resolves to “NO” if no such qualifying settlement price is recorded by that deadline. There is no TIE outcome in this market.
  2. Definition of Active Month and Settlement Price: The “Active Month” refers to the nearest designated delivery month for WTI Crude Oil (CL) futures that is not the spot month, as defined by CME Group at the relevant time. The “settlement price” is the official daily settlement published by CME; intraday highs, last trades, bid/ask quotes, or indicative prices do not qualify.
  3. Handling Contract Roll: If the Active Month contract rolls during the market period, the next eligible contract automatically becomes the Active Month. All determinations are made using the contract that qualifies as Active Month on the relevant trading day.
  4. Official Sources and Evidence: The primary source is the official settlement prices published by CME Group for the Active Month WTI Crude Oil (CL) futures contract. Secondary sources such as TradingView or Investing.com may be used for corroboration if CME data is temporarily unavailable but cannot override clear, later-dated CME publications or corrections.
  5. Eligible Trading Days: Only trading days for which CME publishes an official settlement price are eligible. Weekends, holidays, or days without a published settlement price are excluded.
  6. Resolution Timing: The market will normally be resolved as soon as reasonably practical after 23:59 UTC April 15, 2026, once it is clear from official CME data whether a qualifying settlement occurred before the deadline.
  7. Ambiguities and Disputes: If there is conflicting information regarding the settlement price or applicable contract, clear and later-dated CME publications take precedence. Any remaining ambiguity will be resolved by applying these rules to determine whether the official settlement price reached or exceeded $100 USD by the deadline.
