Will Metamask launch a token in 2025?
About Market
This market tracks the confirmed launch of MetaMask’s official token by December 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET, requiring actual tradable token deployment and clear transferability on public exchanges. Resolution is based on verified statements and documentation from MetaMask, ConsenSys, and consensus reporting in major crypto news outlets.
- The market resolves to "Yes" if all the following conditions are met:
- By December 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET, an official MetaMask token is launched and publicly claimable, transferable, and tradable for any party with a compatible wallet. This requires on-chain deployment and listing on at least one public exchange (centralized or decentralized).
- The launch and tradability must be verifiable on the Ethereum mainnet or any EVM-compatible network where MetaMask provides support, via an official announcement from ConsenSys or MetaMask.
- Announcements alone do not qualify unless confirmed by on-chain token deployment or trade-enabled exchange listings. Only real, user-accessible tokens count.
- Resolution sources include:
-
Official MetaMask and ConsenSys communication (website, blog, GitHub releases, supported wallet UI documentation).
-
At least two independent, reputable crypto news outlets (CoinDesk, The Block, Cointelegraph, etc.) reporting that MetaMask’s token is live and publicly tradable.
-
- If no token fully meeting the criteria is launched before the deadline, the market resolves “No”.
- The token must remain tradable (not revoked or paused) for a minimum of 1 hour after launch for resolution.
- Only one official MetaMask native token counts. Scam, unofficial, or lookalike tokens do not qualify.
- Resolution will occur within 48 hours after the deadline, once data is available and confirmed from official and consensus sources.
