- This market resolves to “YES” if Sam Darnold is officially named Super Bowl Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the Super Bowl completed on or before the market end window. It resolves to “NO” if Sam Darnold is not named Super Bowl MVP under these rules. A TIE outcome is possible only in the case of a co-MVP designation as defined in Rule 2.
- Definition of “Super Bowl MVP” and Co-MVP: For the purposes of this market, “Super Bowl MVP” means the individual award officially designated by the NFL following the Super Bowl. If Sam Darnold is named as one of multiple recipients in an officially declared co-MVP outcome, the market resolves to “TIE”; if he is not included among the official MVP recipients, it resolves to “NO.”
- Applicable Event and Time Window: Only the Super Bowl game concluding the NFL season and completed by the market end window of 3:30–4:00 UTC on 09 February 2026 is considered. Awards or recognitions from any other games or events are not relevant.
- Official Sources and Evidence: Primary sources are (a) official NFL announcements, press releases, and game summaries, and (b) the official Super Bowl MVP presentation and records published by the NFL. Secondary sources such as major sports media outlets may be used for corroboration if primary sources are delayed, but cannot override later official NFL confirmations.
- Resolution Timing and 24-Hour Rule: The market will be reviewed immediately following the official MVP announcement and resolved as soon as reasonably practical. If no official Super Bowl MVP outcome applicable to Sam Darnold is confirmed within 24 hours after the market end window, the market resolves to “NO.”
- Handling Postponements, Cancellations, and Changes: If the Super Bowl is postponed but later completed and an MVP is officially awarded within the applicable time limits, that result determines the outcome. If the Super Bowl is cancelled outright or concludes without any MVP being officially awarded within the 24-hour period, the market resolves to “NO.”
- Ambiguities and Disputes: In cases of conflicting or revised information, later-dated official NFL publications take precedence.
