Will USD/IDR exceed 17,400 by the end of May 4?

About Market

Market Summary

This market centers on whether the USD/IDR exchange rate will exceed 17,400.00 at any point before the end of May 4, 2026, a threshold carrying notable technical and psychological weight given the pair's recent trading range and Indonesia's currency management history. The USD/IDR rate is shaped by a confluence of U.S. Federal Reserve policy signals, Bank Indonesia's intervention stance, domestic inflation dynamics, commodity export flows, and broader shifts in emerging market risk appetite that have driven elevated volatility in the pair in recent months. Traders are evaluating dollar strength trajectories and rupiah resilience to assess the probability of USD/IDR breaching this key level within the defined timeframe.

  3. Time Standard and Ordering: All timestamps are determined using TradingView's official 1-minute candle timestamps in UTC. Only candles with opening timestamps prior to 00:00 UTC May 5, 2026 are eligible for consideration.
  4. Authoritative Source and Data Integrity: Resolution is based on TradingView's 1-minute OANDA:USDIDR candlestick data. Third-party FX data aggregators may be used solely for corroboration and may not override TradingView's OANDA feed records.
  5. Data Revisions and Anomalies: The market resolves according to candle data as first publicly available. Obvious data errors or demonstrably erroneous prints may be disregarded only if OANDA formally corrects or invalidates the data prior to resolution.
  6. Resolution Timing: The market resolves as soon as reasonably practical after a qualifying 1-minute candle high above 17,400.00 is confirmed, or after 00:00 UTC May 5, 2026 if no such event occurs.
