Will USD/IDR exceed 17,800 by the end of May 25?

About Market

MARKET SUMMARY

This market centers on whether the USD/IDR exchange rate will exceed a specified threshold before the conclusion of May 25, 2026, using that deadline as the defining reference point for the outcome. The end of May 25 serves as a temporal milestone that bounds the evaluation period, marking the latest moment at which a qualifying exchange rate movement can occur within the defined window. Traders are assessing whether currency market dynamics, including macroeconomic conditions and central bank policy signals, will drive the exchange rate above the stated level before that cutoff, determining whether the threshold is exceeded relative to that reference point.

RULES
  1. Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: This market resolves to "YES" if the official USD/IDR reference rate published by Bank Indonesia, defined as the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (JISDOR), is strictly greater than 17,800 at any time on or before 23:59 UTC May 25, 2026. It resolves to "NO" if no such qualifying rate is published by that deadline. A rate equal to 17,800 does not qualify. There is no TIE outcome in this market.

  2. Definition of Reference Rate (JISDOR): The "USD/IDR reference rate" refers exclusively to the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (JISDOR) as published by Bank Indonesia. JISDOR is the official daily reference rate and is the only valid price metric for this market; intraday market quotes, offshore rates, or unofficial sources do not qualify.

  3. Time Standard and Eligible Publications: All determinations are based on the publication date and time of the official JISDOR rate in UTC. Only rates officially published on or before 23:59 UTC May 25, 2026 are eligible for consideration.

  4. Official Sources and Evidence: Resolution is based exclusively on JISDOR (https://www.bi.go.id/id/statistik/informasi-kurs/jisdor/Default.aspx) data released by Bank Indonesia through its official publications or website. Secondary financial data providers may be used solely for confirmation and may not override Bank Indonesia's official figures.

  5. Revisions and Corrections: The market resolves according to the JISDOR rate as first officially published. Subsequent revisions alter the outcome only if Bank Indonesia formally corrects or withdraws the original published rate before resolution.

  6. Resolution Timing: The market resolves as soon as reasonably practical after a qualifying JISDOR rate above 17,800 is published, or after 23:59 UTC May 25, 2026 if no such event occurs.

  7. Ambiguities and Disputes: In cases of ambiguity regarding the applicable rate or publication timing, Bank Indonesia's official JISDOR records take precedence. Any remaining uncertainty is resolved by applying these rules to the official published data as interpreted by a reasonable observer.
