Will USD/IDR exceed 18,055 by July 14?

About Market

MARKET SUMMARY

This market centers on whether the US dollar to Indonesian rupiah exchange rate (USD/IDR) will climb above 18,055 on or before 14 July 2026, with the focus on whether the rupiah weakens past that specific level within the window. The 18,055 mark is a meaningful focal point because it sits just above the rupiah's recent trading range, close to levels last tested in mid-June 2026, making it a clear line that distinguishes renewed currency weakness from continued stability amid pressure from US dollar demand and shifting Federal Reserve rate expectations. Traders are assessing the likelihood and timing of the exchange rate reaching that threshold, weighing recent rupiah momentum, capital flows into Indonesian assets, central-bank intervention, and broader dollar strength to judge whether the level is breached before the deadline.

RULES
  1. Market Outcomes and Resolution Criteria: This market resolves YES if the official USD/IDR reference rate published by Bank Indonesia (JISDOR) is strictly greater than 18,055 at any point on or before 23:59 UTC July 14, 2026. It resolves NO if no such qualifying rate is published by that deadline. A rate equal to exactly 18,055 does not satisfy the YES condition. There is no Tie outcome in this market.
  2. Definition of Reference Rate (JISDOR): The "USD/IDR reference rate" refers exclusively to the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (JISDOR) as officially published by Bank Indonesia. JISDOR is a daily reference rate, so each daily JISDOR figure published on or before the deadline is considered; intraday market quotes, offshore NDF rates, or any unofficial or secondary-source figures do not qualify and may not be used to trigger resolution.
  3. Official Sources and Evidence: Resolution is based solely on JISDOR data released by Bank Indonesia via its official publication page (https://www.bi.go.id/id/statistik/informasi-kurs/jisdor/Default.aspx). Secondary financial data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters) may be consulted for corroboration only and cannot override Bank Indonesia's official figures.
  4. Resolution Timing: The market is eligible to resolve as soon as reasonably practical after a qualifying JISDOR rate strictly above 18,055 is officially published. If no qualifying rate has been published by 23:59 UTC July 14, 2026, the market resolves NO at that point. Only JISDOR rates published on or before that deadline are eligible for consideration.
  5. Revisions and Corrections: The market resolves based on the JISDOR rate as first officially published by Bank Indonesia. A subsequent revision or correction alters the outcome only if Bank Indonesia formally withdraws or corrects the original published rate prior to market resolution. Unofficial corrections or third-party adjustments carry no weight.
  6. Ambiguities and Disputes: In cases of ambiguity regarding the applicable rate or its publication timestamp, Bank Indonesia's official JISDOR records take precedence over all other sources. Any remaining uncertainty is resolved by applying these rules to the official published data as interpreted by a reasonable observer.
